Organizers: Samdhana Institute, Rights and Resources Initiative (RRI), Global Greengrants Fund
This event is the launch of a mural project led and facilitated by Intu Boedhihartono Indonesian visual anthropologist Bordeaux graduate, member of IUCN and professor of James Cook University. Her last Mural Arts painting at the World Parks Congress 2015 was purchased for display by Australian government.
The mural participants at the Indigenous Peoples’ Pavilion will be invited to paint to express their ideas on the COP themes. This event is a very powerful convening tool, for all participants, especially the youth and next generation. It will facilitate effective engagement of indigenous peoples, will assist in clarifying their vision through the art medium, will build alliances among many across the globe.
